Key specs for this SSD case
Primary Material: EVA
The case uses ethylene-vinyl acetate foam. This material offers a firm yet flexible shell. It absorbs impact energy when you drop the drive. It also blocks water and moisture from reaching the SSD. You get protection against rain or spills. This is standard for portable drive cases. It keeps your data safe during daily use or travel.
Protection Features: Water-resistant, shock-absorbing
These features define the case's durability. Water resistance stops splashes from damaging the drive. Shock absorption cushions drops and bumps. You do not need to handle the drive with extreme care. The case handles accidental impacts better than bare drives. This is useful for photographers or travelers who move equipment often.
Drive Compatibility: Crucial X10, X10 Pro, X9, X9 Pro
The case fits only specific Crucial models. It is not universal for all NVMe drives. You must check your drive model before buying. If you have an X9 or X10, it fits perfectly. Other brands or older models may not fit. This limits its use but ensures a snug fit for compatible drives. It prevents movement inside the case.
Internal Storage: Interior mesh pocket
There is a small mesh pocket inside. It holds cables and small accessories. You can store the USB-C cable there. This keeps items organized and prevents loss. You do not need a separate bag for cables. It adds convenience for travel. The space is limited, so it fits only small items like adapters or cables.
Attachment Method: Lanyard, carabiner
You can attach a lanyard or carabiner to the case. This allows you to hang it on a bag. It makes the case easy to carry. You do not need to hold it in your hand. This is useful for hiking or commuting. It keeps the drive accessible. The attachment points are integrated into the hard EVA shell.
Hard EVA Case Design and Build

The blue finish adds a distinct look, though the primary focus remains on durability. The hard texture and shock-absorbing lining work together to protect your SSD during daily use or transit. This build quality suits users who prioritize physical protection for their portable storage devices.

Before you buy this case
You should verify that your drive is a Crucial X9, X9 Pro, X10, or X10 Pro. The case does not fit other portable SSDs. Check the capacity label on your drive. The listing specifies support for 1TB through 8TB models. You must ensure your specific unit matches these exact series names. This case is designed only for storage protection. It does not add speed or capacity to your NVMe drive. You will still need your original USB-C cable. The mesh pocket holds the cable, but you need to have one. Clean the EVA exterior with a dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals that might degrade the foam. This item sits alongside actual SSDs in our guide. It is an accessory, not a storage device. Consider buying it if you travel often. It keeps your Crucial drive safe from bumps and splashes. It is not a replacement for the drive itself.
